Leaving Liberty City
Grand Theft Auto IV is being released on Tuesday, and it seems to have already turned the gaming world on its collective head. So far we’ve seen mostly positive press, and especially positive reviews, with most major media outlets giving the game a perfect 10 out of 10. It looks like GameSpot, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart – among many others, I’m sure – will be holding midnight launches and surely thousands of gamers will be calling in sick to work on Tuesday. More or less, this Tuesday’s launch of GTA IV is shaping up to be the biggest multi-console video game launch this year.

Weekend Musings
This past weekend, I had the immense pleasure of going to my oldest brother’s wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. And you couldn’t imagine a better weekend – great people, great weather, and best of all, great parties. At War with Warcraft
November 23, 2004 was a pretty standard day for me. I had just left school on Thanksgiving break and as I was heading home I stopped by the game shop to pick up a copy of World of Warcraft. At the time, I figured that I’d have a fun game to play in my spare time, a game that I’d probably end up playing for a few months and then get rid of in favor of more Counter-Strike.
Never in my life did I think that I’d still be playing it today.

Discovering Playstation
I’ll make no bones about it – for my entire life as a gamer, I’ve had a strong hatred for any and all things Sony. From the release of the original Playstation in 1995, I’ve been staunchly opposed not only to buying a Sony console, but also to the thought of even playing a game on it, which means that I made it through the entire PS One generation without playing Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, or Final Fantasy VII.
