Jumping the Gun
In his recent open letter to “The People Who Make Marvel Comics Video Games,” God of War producer David Jaffe gave the company flak for continually releasing games that were focused far too much on the characters’ powers and not nearly enough on their story. And, with lackluster superhero games (Iron Man, anyone?) being released almost monthly now, it’s hard to disagree.

Incredibly Average
If I had to sum up The Incredible Hulk in one word, I’d call it “bipolar.” And while that may sound fitting when describing the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde character of Bruce Banner, I’m saying it more because this movie is further evidence that Marvel Studios doesn’t have the foggiest idea of how they want to portray their jolly green giant.

Peripheral Vision
It seems like every game this year has been packaged with some sort of add-on you shouldn’t really need but somehow have to have to play a game to its fullest potential. Gaming peripherals – controllers, joysticks, steering wheels, headsets, and the like; you know, the kind of crap that clutters up your gaming closet without you even knowing it. From the basic Fender Stratocaster bundled with Rock Band to the new balance board packed with Wii Fit, gamers now are being inundated with new plastic molds promising to deliver revolutionary gameplay. And it’s coming with a hefty price tag.
