Where Have All the IPs Gone?
Over the past few weeks, gamers worldwide have had what should have been their own experience of Christmas in July. With both E3 and the San Diego Comic Con occurring over the course of two weeks, it seemed like a perfect storm for information, announcements and demos was just over the horizon. A Chilling End
Heath Ledger is gone, but it’ll be a long time before he’s forgotten.
I had a chance to see The Dark Knight on Thursday, and it was everything I hoped it could be. Building off of Christopher Nolan’s surprise hit Batman Begins, Christian Bale is back as the Caped Crusader, but this time we’re treated to an even darker, more sadistic Gotham City than before. And though I wouldn’t dare to call Batman Begins light, the criminals and their crimes in The Dark Knight can sure make it feel that way.

E3 Wish List
E3 kind of sucks now. When I went a few years ago, it was ridiculous – booth babes everywhere, hands-on stations from every major developer, and The Big Cheese, an absolutely ridiculous grilled cheese joint in the basement of the LA Convention Center, the oft-maligned Kentia Hall.
Today? It’s a bunch of industry suits meeting to schedule more meetings and share press releases. And they no longer have to worry about actual gamers trashing their demos, because they’ve locked them all out.

Blizzard Goes Hollywood
Out of the way, folks: Blizzard has done it again.
After years of wishful thinking and rumors flying throughout the gaming community, Blizzard finally announced Diablo III, the newest installment in their award-winning, life-consuming action RPG series about angels, demons and the heroes in between. And the reception at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational – a World of Warcraft tournament in Paris – was nothing if not rabid.
